Rick Lang Lang Furniture Production Manager

Meet Rick Lang, Lang Furniture’s Production Manager

“Don’t work for recognition, but do work worthy of recognition.”
– H. Jackson Brown, Jr.

If ever there were a quote that could describe Rick Lang, this one is it.

As Lang Furniture’s Production Manager, Rick Lang is the proverbial “jack-of-all-trades.”

Not only does he manage our entire production team and keep everyone working together as efficiently as possible, but he also has a keen attention to detail and possesses strong analytical skills.

Dressed in his safety yellow tee shirt and safety glasses, it would be difficult to pick Rick out on the factory floor. You can find him working in every area of production in both of our plants, from creating prototypes for new products and inspecting the details of finished pieces, to refining handling and packaging procedures.

Rick has been employed at Lang Furniture for 27 years, and he has a unique blend of confidence and humility. He is the kind of leader who holds himself and all of the Lang team members accountable, can have tough conversations whenever necessary, and make difficult choices if needed. His focus is always on the bigger purpose of what’s best for Lang Furniture, our employees, and our customers.

Rick is married to his wife, Tammy, and has four children: Tim, Jon, Lee Ann and Dylan. He enjoys hunting deer, elk and coyote – he is a talented taxidermist – coaching middle school football, watching his kids’ sporting events, and spending time at home with his family.

FUN FACTS ABOUT RICK:
1. Rick is Lyle Lang’s first cousin.
2. He lives only two blocks from the Marshfield factory.
3. He prefers to eat meat, potatoes and chocolate.
